Mr. Omotayo Ajibola, one of the newly appointed Special Assistants to the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve.

Ajibola, in an appreciation letter on Tuesday, also thanked the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, for her support and for projecting young people into leadership positions.

He wrote, "To whom much is given, gratitude is sacrosanct. I write to express my profound and unequivocal gratitude to God Almighty and to His Excellency, Governor Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for approving my appointment as a Special Assistant.

"I am deeply grateful to the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Omowunmi Isaac, and to all my leaders who played significant roles in my nomination as Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State."

Ajibola said he was particularly impressed by Isaac's passion for youth development, adding that he was proud to be a beneficiary of her goodwill.

According to him, "I extend my special appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, not only for my appointment but also for her commitment to promoting young people in leadership. I am marvelled by her vision of connecting the future with the present, and I am glad to be a beneficiary of her benevolence."

The new SA, who described Governor Aiyedatiwa as the Captain of the OUR EASE Ship, said his appointment was a call to duty.

He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by working diligently for the growth of the state.

"To His Excellency, Governor Orimisan Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Captain of OUR EASE Ship, I accept this appointment as a call to duty. You have, over the years, demonstrated diligent service and unwithered commitment to the growth of Ondo State and its people, which you have further shown through the promotion and appointment of young people into your government.

"I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has contributed to my growth in one way or the other. Whatever I am today is not by my own wisdom, but by your mentorship and guidance," he said.
