Olateru-Olagbegi accepts appointment as Aiyedatiwa’s Senior Special Assistant, hails Finance Commissioner
The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Olaleke Olateru-Olagbegi, has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over his appointment, describing it as a call to higher service.
Olateru-Olagbegi, whose appointment was recently announced by the state government, in an acceptance and appreciation statement on Tuesday, said he received the appointment with humility and a deep sense of responsibility.
He said the appointment was a testament to the governor's faith in capacity, competence and character.
He said, “All adoration and profound thanksgiving be unto God Almighty, the custodian of all grace and the ultimate bestower of honour, for His unquantifiable mercies and benevolence upon my life.
“It is with a profound sense of humility, unalloyed gratitude and an acute consciousness of the onerous responsibility that this office connotes, that I convey my heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for graciously appointing me as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor.
“Your Excellency, this appointment, graciously approved under your distinguished leadership, is an eloquent testament to your abiding faith in capacity, competence and character. I am profoundly elated and eternally indebted for the rare privilege and confidence reposed in my humble self.”
Olateru-Olagbegi pledged his loyalty to the Aiyedatiwa-led administration and to the successful implementation of its OUR EASE Agenda.
The new governor’s aide also reserved special praise for the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, whom he described as his benefactor and pillar of support.
He said, “Permit me to, with utmost reverence and in a most special manner, express my inexorable and inestimable gratitude to an icon of purposeful leadership, a mother with a heart of gold and my benefactor, the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac.
“Ma, your exemplary leadership, motherly mentorship, indefatigable support and unshaken belief in my capacity have been the veritable cornerstone of this elevation.”
He equally appreciated the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, his family, friends and political associates for their prayers and goodwill messages.
Olateru-Olagbegi assured the governor and the people of the state that he would discharge his duties with probity, diligence and patriotic zeal.
