They Will Say People Are Dying, All Those Things They Are Saying Are Cheap Blackmail-Keyamo

According to a report published by Punch Newspapers on Monday, October 5, 2026, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has rejected allegations suggesting that people have lost their lives in relation to the matter under discussion, describing the claims as an effort to blackmail the government.

Keyamo made the statement during an interview with Punch Newspapers while addressing criticism and allegations directed at the Federal Government. He argued that references to deaths were being presented in a way intended to attract public sympathy and place unnecessary pressure on the authorities.

The minister maintained that those making such allegations were focusing on emotional appeals instead of dealing with the actual issues at stake. He suggested that claims involving deaths were being used as part of a wider effort to undermine the government and shape public perception against it.

“They will say people are dying and so on. All those things they are saying are cheap blackmail,” Keyamo said.

According to the minister, bringing up reported deaths in arguments concerning the issue was an attempt to distract attention from the substantive matters that should be examined. He insisted that such claims should not be allowed to overshadow the facts surrounding the situation.
