Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, on Monday, swore in 68 legal practitioners as Senior Advocates of Nigeria at the 2026/2027 Legal Year ceremony.

Newsmen reported that the swearing-in took place during the ceremony marking the new legal year at the Supreme Court, Abuja.

The Legal Practitioners' Privileges Committee had approved the elevation of the 68 legal practitioners at its 174th plenary session held in Abuja in July.

According to PUNCH's earlier report, the appointees comprise 67 advocates and one academic, Professor Nnamdi Onyeka Obiaraeri.

Among the new silks is an Owo-born legal practitioner, Bolu Agbaje Akadri, who hails from Iloro Quarters, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, listed as number 60 on the seniority list.

Bolu Agbaje Akadri is an Associate Partner at Pinheiro LP, with extensive practice in commercial litigation, arbitration, banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, insolvency, oil and gas, and real estate law. He is a graduate of the University of Benin and the University of Lagos, where he obtained his LL.B and LL.M respectively.

Beyond the courtroom, Agbaje Akadri is known as a grassroots community advocate and Convener of the Pathfinders Leadership Group, an initiative dedicated to mentoring young people and promoting youth participation in leadership and politics in Owo, Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

He is described as a builder of men and a passionate advocate for human capital development, with a philosophy that sustainable development begins with investing in people.

He is married to Mrs. Olakitan Diana Bolu-Agbaje, Esq., and the marriage is blessed with two children.

His elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, the highest distinction in the Nigerian legal profession, has been described as a proud moment for Owo kingdom and Ondo State at large.
